about

3 Railway Sleeper 7.12

I got the idea for this after going by train to Blackburn in Lancashire UK. It took about an hour yet returning back to Chester for some unknown reason at the time it seemed to stop at every northern industrial town, a lot of them steeped in history, once proud industrial hubs now mostly barren and run down (at least from the train window it seemed that way). The train made a clickety clack sound as the train slowly passed over the rail tracks from city to town, stopping at every unknown station. I found the rhythm both mesmerizing and relaxing and I fell asleep several times. I incorporated this sound into this track. It also has steam train sounds, and the sound of wildlife passing by your open window. In my mind I imagined I was on a train in India. You choose your own destination.
